Decision-making is a mental activity that everyone experiences every now and then, which has been concerned all the time.In recent years, the Dual-process Model which holds that human cognitive activity involves two essentially different processing systems, analytic system based on rational analysis and heuristic system based on heuristicintuition.Once been put forward, the model draws a lot of attention in the field of decision-making research. This study based on the Dual-process Model, mainly discusses the intuitive decision-making content about the preference in decision-making and quality problems of higher vocational students. This research adopts the scale MBTI-M amended in 1998 to investigatethe characteristics of higher vocational student. On this basis,we select the high intuition group and the low intuition group of the higher vocational students to conduct the following behavior experiments, through the classical S Criterion of experimental paradigm and roommate selection task paradigm respectively. The former experiment discusses if the intuition traits of higher vocational have effects on their decision way, namely whether the high intuitive group is more likely to intuitive decision-making,and low intuition group more inclined to analysis decision-making.However,the latter discusses if intuitive traits of higher vocational students affect the quality of decision-making,namely whether the high intuitive group make decisions of higher quality in intuitiondecision-making,whereas low intuitive group make decisions of higher quality in analysis decision-making.The results show that:Firstly, the intuition level of higher vocational students is low,and the majority of them tend to analytic thought pattern; And the intuition level of male high vocational students is significantly higher than female vocational college students'.Secondly,The high level of intuition is more likely to intuitive decision-making,whereas low level of intuition is more inclined to analysis decision-making;Male students tend to intuitive decision-making while female students tend to analysis decision-making.Thirdly,in different decision-making pattern, the quality of the decision-making of the intuitive decision-making group is significantly higher than the analysis decision-making group.Fourthly, thehigh intuitive group make decisions of higher quality when doing intuitive decision-making,while the low intuitive group make decisions of higher quality when doing analysis decision-making.
