With the development of information technology,the function of social networking sites are becoming more and more rich.The social networking sites can satisfy people’s various needs,also get the favor of people.《China social application user behavior research report in 2015》 shows that the rate of social networking sites use has been as high as 90.7%,and the largest age group is the people 20 to 29,accounting for 32.9%,followed by people under the age of 19,accounting for 26.3%.Social networking sites are like a double-edged sword,people can use it to focus on interesting content,understand the news,get and share knowledge,upload photos,update status,watch videos,listen to music and so on,but it may be lead to a series of negative influence for individual work,study,health,relationships and so on if people immerse in it.The investigation objects of this study are 909 college students in Chongqing.This study conducts a questionnaire survey,based on the scale scores of social networking site excessive use,we screen 159 social networking site users as the research objects.The Scales are as follows: 《the scale of social networking sites excessive use》,《the scale of social networking websites use motivation》,《the scale of life satisfaction》,《the scale of self-esteem》,《the scale of perceived stress》.This study examines the percentage and the number of college students’ different social networking sites using state,and its variance analysis in demographic variables,social networking sites use motivation and psychological well-being.The relationship of social networking sites excessive use and social networking sites use,psychological well-being are discussed,and this study finally examines the relationship among social networking site use motivation,psychological well-being,social networking websites overuse.It provides a new exploration for intrinsic mechanism of social networking sites excessive use,it also offers a valuable reference for intervention of college students‘ overuse of the social networking site.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Excessive social networking site users account for 17.5% of the total,regular users of social networking sites use account for 82.5% of the total;(2)The conventional and unconventional group has no significant differences in the demographic variable,but has significant differences on the social networking site use motivation and psychological well-being;(3)Passing time motivation,recreation motivation,information seeking motivation,self-expression motivation and escapism motivation are significantly positively related to excessive social networking sites use;(4)Life satisfaction and excessive social networking sites use has significant negative correlation;Self-esteem is not significantly associated with excessive social networking websites use;Perceived stress is significantly positively related to excessive social networking sites use;(5)Life satisfaction moderates the relationship between passing time motivation,self-expression motivation,escapism motivation and excessive social networking sites use,doesn’t moderate the relationship between recreation motivation,information seeking motivation and excessive social networking sites use;(6)Self-esteem doesn’t moderate the relationship between social networking sites use motivation and excessive social networking sites use;(7)Stress perception moderates the relationship between recreation motivation and excessive social networking sites use,but doesn’t moderate the relationship between other motivations and excessive social networking sites use.This study explores the influencing factors of excessive social networking site use of influencing factors,especially for college students overuse,can further strengthen the awareness of university students to the excessive social networking site use,strengthen their consciousness of self protection,and use social networking sites more moderately;this study also contribute to education workers providing effective intervention measures and corrective measures for excessive social networking sites users on the basis of the students’ psychological well-being and social networking site use motivation. |
