The Paper is a research mainly on book reviews of the literary supplements to Takungpao(1933-1937).It shows how the literary criticism goes on and how critics and writers communicate with each other in 1930 s.It also shows how the newspapers play a role in those years as a modern media.In a word,the paper is mainly to show the reality of literary criticism in 1930 s.This paper is based on the discussion about Xiao qian's theory,his social practice and his cultural pursuit.By studying on the book reviews and the specials,we can know book reviews make an effect on culture selecting and what the ideal book reviews are.The book reviews were greatly influenced by the newspapers and other medias.It has a Symbiotic relationship with the publishing of new literature in 1930 s.It suggests that how 1930s' culture world encourages or discourages the people's ways to express their literary criticism.A great number of reviewers are trained by the literary supplements.Among them,Li Jianwu,Chang Feng and Li Yingxin are the most typical.The paper emphases on their literary criticism and their critical practice.We can see that the literary supplements suggests the literariness as the main aesthetic way.The book reviews on the supplements mainly responded to the new literature works at that time.What's more,it will lead to many problems made by how the reviewers comment on these new works and how they communicate with writers.For example,what is literary criticism?
