The Local Historical Narrative Of Liu Xinglong's Novels

The local historical narrative of Liu Xinglong's novels,under the guidance of the concept “noble”,analyze the human nature in the history,criticize the ugly features,and in the meantime,show the nice features.And,he positively verifies the truth of history and insist pursuing local cultural tradition to looking for ways of rebuilding the spirit.It's a kind of expression of the modern humanistic spirit by the intellectuals.On the other hand,Liu shows his breakthrough and transition from deconstruction to reconstruction in different periods.It shows the possibility of a positive view of history.However,the metaphysical construction of sprit and the physical historical critique in the text also reveal some “broken” thought dilemmas.How to bridge the gap in the narrative as much as possible is a challenge that the writer must face.After reading the academic materials of Liu Xinglong's works,I found that,“Historical narrative” is a view of research which remains to be further in the research field about Liu Xinglong's creations.So,on the basis of Liu's novels,first,I analyze the production of the local historical narrative by discussing the author's childhood experience,his uncertain identity and his reading.Second,I discuss the text of the local historical narrative about the family,the person and the town.The third,I discuss its narrative strategies such as perspective,structure and word form.Then,I inspect the author's historical consciousness in his novels by discussing the existing form,the evolvement rule and the development motivation of history.In the end,the purpose is that,on the one hand,trying to find how Liu can build his own local historical narrative to form a unified spiritual pursuit of history and reality;on the other hand,trying to understand the uniqueness,positive meaning and spiritual dilemma about his local historical narrative.
