Based on frame theory and entertainment frame of Elliott,with content analysis adopted as research method,this thesis explores political coverage of 2016 US presidential election on official websites of the Sun and New York Post.Statistical results show that there is significant difference on main coverage frames between the two websites.The Sun website has almost equal amount of entertainment and non-entertainment coverage,while New York Post website has more non-entertainment coverage than entertainment coverage.Within all non-entertainment coverage,the Sun website mainly focuses on public opinion while New York Post website pays more attention on horse race between the two candidates and political issues.There is no significant difference between the two websites' entertainment coverage.Compared with the Sun website,New York Post website has much more neutral reports.As for positive and negative coverage,both websites pay more attention to Donald Trump than Hillary Clinton.
