Writing,as an integral part of language teaching,is not an easy task for teachers to accomplish.The written feedback of teachers is a very important method for students to improve their writing.Thus,the written feedback of teachers put a vital position in TCSOL.The purpose of this study is to find the teachers' actual written feedback for composition in TCSOL by investigations.Also,the author hopes that this study can find out the problems and explore an effective way of writing feedback in TCSOL.The research adopts quantitative and qualitative methods.The quantitative method is based on the questionnaire,and the qualitative method is based on the way of interviewing in order to supplement quantitative research,then makes the quantitative research become more comprehensive.Through statistical analysis and comparison of the results of the survey,also combining with interviews,the paper may draw the following conclusions:(1)Teachers and students think that it is necessary to carry out assessment of writing.(2)Both teachers and students believe that direct writing feedback is effective in improving the writing,but the ability of the students to modify their composition remains to be improved.(3)Even if the attitudes of teachers and students to the current written feedback of writing are not exactly same,they keep consistent basically.Based on the research results,this paper has reflections on the problems existing in teaching of writing in TCSOL,and puts forward some suggestions to the teachers and students.
