Translation Strategy Of Nominalization In Scientific Texts-Based On The C-E Translation Of The First Chapter Of The Brief History Of Science And Technology

English is often called as a nominalization language.The predominant feature of written English is nominalization.Scientific English belongs to the written English.According to A Dictionary of Linguistics and Phonetics,nominalization refers to “the process of forming nouns from other speech or the process of forming a noun phrase from a sentence”.In this thesis,the author analyzes the translation strategy of nominalization through lexical level,phrasal level and syntactical level.In the case of the author,the purpose that the author chooses this topic is that there are many advantages to analyze the nominalization process in translation.In this thesis,the author analyzes the translation process that how to use the nominalization strategy and why choose these translating principles on the basis of nominalization theory.Therefore,this thesis not only helps author and other people master the nominalization,but also master the application of the nominalization in scientific English.In this way,the version translated by translators can be more standard and more natural to cater to the target language.
