Study Of The Modernity Experience And Narrative Strategies Of Liuliu’s Novel

Contemporary female writer,Liuliu’s work is focused on the basic situation in present-day Chinese society.The writing considers the contradictions present in modern society and problems with social consciousness.The contradictions are caused by conflict between the rationalism of modern society,economic development,the political system,and human culture and individual life.Today,after more than 30 years of reform and opening to the outside world,materialism has been rapidly developing in China.However,some new social contradictions have become apparent.There is an increasingly utilitarian and instrumental rationality in modern society,along with an increasing amount of the population pursuing material wealth;therefore,people are gradually becoming the product of labour tool development.Liuliu is closely related to the era characteristic of contemporary China,and describes the washed-up daily life of common people,showing a lot of social phenomena and contradictions.This paper is divided into three chapters,the content is as follows:The first chapter describes the concept of "modernity",as well as the generation of the history and the ideographic changes made in this paper.Secondly,this chapter discussesthe connotations and contradictions of social modernity and the aesthetic of modernity as the core content of modernity.Combined with the works of Liuliu,this chapter will conclude the sense of modernity.Finally,with reference to Liuliu’s life,an analysis will detail the popularised style characteristics of literary modernity.The second chapter studies civil society’s reflection on modernity in Liuliu`s works,through plight and the separation of traditional and modern.The character image of Ordinary people,thoroughly discusses the modernity characteristics of plot,the environment,and characters in this novel.The third chapter describes the popular characteristics of language,rhetoric,and colloquial dialect.In addition,it will analyse the popular characteristics of novel narrative perspective transformation and the embodiment of the narrative focus.Finally,this chapter will assess the popular characteristics of reception aesthetics.
