Intangible cultural heritage is the “living fossil” witnessing the history of human civilization.With the development of our society,it experiences the trend of dying out gradually due to the born of a wide variety of new cultures.The work to protect and rescue the intangible cultural heritage has become the top priority and cannot be more urgent.Although China has done a lot for this job,the crisis of losing our valuable heritage is still hardly to be eliminated as it cannot be done overnight and it is a permanent and time-consuming project.With the dawn of the “post-inscription era”,intangible cultural heritage has become a hot topic among the academic researches and also the focus of mass media.Exploring and tapping an effective way to protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage becomes a new task for us.Documentary,as a kind of artistic expression and media,is impressed by its authenticity.This feature is naturally connected to the principle of the intangible cultural heritage that focuses on the pursuit of authenticity in the process of inheriting and protecting.Documentary is a means to actively participate in the protection of intangible cultural heritage,bearing the dual task to spread and inherit the intangible cultural heritage.This paper,from the angle of expressing the documentary of intangible cultural heritage,discussed the characteristics of the mainstream media documentaries in the perspective of analysis and mass communication.Then the scheme of expressing the intangible cultural heritage of certain category with typological creation was put forward.The introduction part of this paper mainly gives the research background and some research ideas of the author.The second part,starting from the status que of the intangible cultural heritage,firstly tells the crisis and survival dilemma faced by the intangible cultural heritage,then points out the survival methods,and finally explains the superiority of documentary storing the intangible cultural heritage.The third part discusses the relationship between the intangible cultural heritage and the documentary itself,puts forward the definition of the documentary for the intangible cultural heritage,and classifies the expressing forms of the intangible cultural heritage.The fourth part mainly expounds the media existence of the intangible cultural heritage from the aspects of communication strategy,and discusses the dissemination of “niche” and the expansion of human space in the documentary of the intangible cultural heritage according to Levinson’s theory of media evolution.The fifth part selects a representative case to analyze the creation of the intangible cultural heritage documentary from the aspects of subject,narration and audio-visual language.Finally,the author combines her own experience with some of the feelings and ideas formed through short-term exchanges with the inheritor in the case and makes a significant conclusion. |
