As an important means for foreign tourists to know about the culture of scenic spots,the translation of tourism texts is very important which not only directly influences the effectiveness of cultural dissemination but also affects China's image in the world.At present,the translation of tourism texts in China still exists many problems.Therefore,the study of improving the translation of tourism texts is of great practical significance.It is no doubt that translators play a great role in promoting cultural communication.However,as the most important subject in translation,translator and his subjectivity has long been ignored.Until the late 1970 s,with the cultural turn in translation studies,more and more scholars have diverted their research focus from texts to translators.Theimportanceof translator's subjectivity on the process of translation have receivedattention from more and more scholars.As tourismtext is a special practical genre with much cultural information,the translation of it has always been a challenge for translators.The exertion of translator's subjectivity directly influences the quality of tourism text translation.The author studied some bilingual tourism texts of Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park from the perspective of translator's subjectivity.Based on the comparative analysis of the source texts and the target texts,the author analyzed some deficiencies in translation and put forward corresponding solutions to these problems.Then the author concludedsome common translation strategies and methods used by translators with the aim of improving the quality of this kind of tourism text translation.Finally the author concluded that the translator should be target reader-oriented and make full use of his subjectivity to convey the cultural connotation of the original textin order to correctly spread the culture of scenic spots.Under the guidance of domestication,the translator should flexibly adopt the methods of annotation and free translation at lexical,syntactical and cultural level to improve the quality of tourism text translation.
