Attention Impact On The Metaphor Consistency Effect Of Vertical Space And Moral Concepts

In the moral concept of metaphor research,partly explains the moral concept of metaphor psychological realism,but the conclusion about the relation between moral concept and vertical space are not congruent.Studies have found that metaphorical mapping is a one-way or a two-way,and two direction of the connection strength is asymmetric.By Stroop paradigm,we discusses the moral concept activate vertical space,as well as the vertical space activate moral concept.Two experiments respectively control the attention of the target stimulus,discussed under the different attention condition,the difference conceptual metaphors consistency effect,which reveal the moral concept and the mapping relationship between vertical space is symmetrical,and the mapping relationship between neural electrophy biological mechanisms.Experiment 1 attention to space or not,were used respectively to judge(letters or space)to explore the moral concept activate the vertical space priming effect.Experimental results found that,if not attention to space,congruent conditions(moral-up & immoral-down)and incongruent conditions(moral-down & immoral-up)on the reaction of the participants judgment were undifferentiated,ERP components induced undifferentiated;If attention to space,under the congruent condition,the subjects judgment faster,under the incongruent condition takes up more cognitive resources,induced by the larger P300.Experiment 2 respectively attention to moral or not(judge font or valence),to explore the priming effect of vertical space activate moral concepts.The results found that attention to the moral,under the congruent condition,in the “moral-up” dimension is faster,larger N400 is caused by incongruent condition;If attention to immoral,congruent and incongruent condition to judge are no difference.Experimental results show that the relationship between moral concept and the vertical space are two-way,but the relationship is affected by attention,support the Coherent Working Models hypothesis.
