Toni Morrison,Nobel Literature Prize winner,has revealed the history,destiny and spiritual world of African Americans since the 1970 s.In her 11 vivid novels,she criticizes ““American White Center Theory” fiercely without aiming to break it for setting another “Black” one instead.She portraits many determined,independent and brave black female characters but never flaunts herself as a feminist writer who only speak out for the group of black women.She is a landmark in African American literature.God Help the Child,published in 2015,is Toni Morrison's latest masterpiece.Different from the past works,it is the first time that she sets the story on the background of current American society.Sharing with readers,she uses different points of views without time and location limitations to explore how different races,genders,classes working together in modern American society with history trauma.Most traditional research always sets into a pattern that criticizing a centrism but setting another one,which seems unsuitable for the interpreting of Toni Morrison's latest work.The developing “womanism” is more suitable for the research of this work.Based on the respect of the multiple possibilities and real equality of race,gender and class,womanism contributes to breaking the limits of “Other” and exploring the construction of subjectivity under race,class and gender discrimination.Thus,the article aims to analyze the biracial female heroine Bride's subjectivity construction from the perspective of womanism.With racial,daughter and female identity lost under the white racial discrimination,alienation of the black community,abandon by father,isolation from mother,lack of guidance from black family,social violence and molestation as well as childhood psychological trauma,Bride is in the process of subjectivity construction through self-awakening,the inspiration of black and white community,“Similar Self” triggering,male soulmate mentally inspiring,self-repentance and quest.
