Strategies To Translate Culture Specific Terms In The Target Language

This thesis explores the problems not only linked to the language itself but to the culture differences we can run into as a translator or an interpreter.This is even more important when translating from two languages that have diametrically opposed cultures.I did a complete analysis of the culture specific terms in different languages and the difficulty to translate them.Sometimes,some terms are impossible to translate directly into the target language and this thesis gives some techniques to be able to translate them properly.One of the finding of this thesis is that culture cannot be separated from the language,especially when it comes to translation.By going through stages to translate,it gets easier not to lose the cultural side.
