The thesis explores various problems in interpreting from a B language(English)into a C language(Chinese).A comprehensive quantitative analysis was carried out to understand the relative importance of problems.This empirical representation of the strengths and weaknesses brings attention to the most important problems – namely rhetorical problems such as wrong use of language and unsmooth delivery.The thesis elaborates on these problems,identifies various sub-categories and finds causes of these problems.Based on the analysis,practical recommendation for improvement are suggested.One of the findings of the thesis is that linguistic interference poses a big problem.Examples are used to describe the scale and kinds of interference,and remedies are suggested. |
