Study On The Relationship Among Perfectionism,Self-efficacy And Procrastination Of College Students | | Posted on:2016-12-04 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X Ni | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330542975924 | Subject:Applied Psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | In recent years,by the research on procrastination,scholars have discovered that seventy percent of college students often act out procrastination,about five percent of college students believe that procrastination has become their own fixed patterns of behavior.Procrastination seems to have become an urgent problem which needs to be solved visibly.Because of a series of adverse effects caused by procrastination,especially the universal health dangers for college students and the universal occurrence,procrastination has received widespread attention of researchers and psychologists.In this study,random sampling methods is used to select 384 college students as subjects who are from five universities in Heilongjiang province.And using “General Procrastination Scale”,“Almost Perfectionism Scale”,and “Self-Efficacy Scale” as research instruments.The overall conditions of perfectionism,self-efficacy and procrastination is explored in this study,also the relationships among three variables.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The procrastination of university students are at the medium range.There is no significant differences in the various demographic variables of procrastination.(2)The perfectionism of university students are at the medium to high level.There are significant differences in gender of maladaptive perfectionism;there are significant differences in the family structure of adaptive perfectionism.(3)The overall situation of university students’ self-efficacy is very well.There are significant differences in gender of self-efficacy,the level of self-efficacy of male college students are significantly higher than the level of self-efficacy of college girls.(4)Adaptive perfectionism,self-efficacy and procrastination of university students are significantly associated;maladaptive perfectionism and procrastination were significantly positive correlated.(5)Perfectionism and self-efficacy can significantly predict procrastination;adaptive perfectionism can significantly predict self-efficacy.(6)Self-efficacy partly mediates the relationship between adaptive perfectionism and procrastination. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | university students, perfectionism, self-efficacy, procrastination | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
