The Strategies Of Long Sentences In Japanese

For a long time,long sentences have been attached attention by researchers who mainly focus on literature but few in interpreting.As interpretation practice gets frequent day,sight translation as a special method to improve interpreting ability attracts much attention.However,interpreters always can't properly handle the long sentence with complicated modifications;thus making the translation verbose.Therefore,it is necessary to solve the problem of long sentence translation in sight.This thesis selects some long sentences from Japanese-Chinese sight translation practices to analyze translation strategies on the basis of predecessors achievements.Including the introduction and conclusion,this thesis consists of five chapters.The introduction part mainly reveals the purpose of this study and the significance,this paper introduces the definition of the long sentence,the forming reason of the long sentence,its characteristics and its translation skills,etc.,and the research methods of this study and the research train of thought.In this paper,first introduces the linear long sentences:introduced the suitable translation difficulties due to language differences between China and Japan,then discusses the contain,tied in a partical and contains causal,inverse relationship between the two types of long sentences Chinese translation skills.Then examines the modifier type long sentences,the word order of attributive modifier and type long attributive modifier coping skills of long sentence,long and adverbial modifier of word order and the coping strategies of such a long sentence.Finally with super complicated composition method to study the translation of long sentences,divided into circumscription type long sentences and sentences section contains many elements of these two types of long sentences,and discusses its Chinese translation methods.This paper centered on sight translation of long sentences to explore Chinese translation method.Through this research,the author hopes that through this thesis,interpreters can master Chinese translation strategy of long sentences,clear the relationship between sentence skeleton and each component,understand sentence mean-ing,analyze specific issues,and comprehensive use a variety of translation techniques to make the sentence meaning.Master of Chinese translation strategy on long sentences in sight translation not only consolidates the long sentence translation foundation,but also improves interpreting level and provides some references for future sight translation practices.
