The Film Synthesis Of Gao Qunshu

Gao Qunshu is one of the most outstanding representatives of Hebei contemporary film and TV drama directors,who has a great command and control of police and gangster works.By reviewing his creation concept,camera language and the evolution of expression methods for over ten years,it can be clearly found that not only his works stood steadfast to his self-style,but also kept advancing with times.Unlike those police and gangster films which attract audiences by action scenes,Gao Qunshu's police and bandit theme works have an insight to the problems existing during contemporary social changes by using his perceptive ability.Through the use of artistic sleight,Gao appealed this rational thinking to his camera and presented it to the audience.The thesis teases out the unique originality of the works of Gao Qunshu by comparison and analyzation.There are three mainly entry points to the study.First,by summing up the characteristics of the film and television works of police and gangsters directed by Gao Qunshu,the thesis explores its unique artistic style.Secondly,the study analyzes the commonness of the selection theme of the director from realistic perspective.Thirdly,starting with humanistic care,the author interprets the civilian viewpoints and the feelings of compassion showed in Gao Qunshu's works.Based on the entry points mentioned,this paper puts the works of Gao Qunshu into the research field.With the previous analyzation in the aspects of his aesthetic style,preferred police and gangster elements and the documentary characteristics,the thesis dissects his constant value proposition and spiritual core,explores his original intention of documenting and pre senting his personal understanding and evaluation,cognition and comprehension of the society by the means of optic artistry.The film works of director Gao Qunshu can be taken as a significant example for contemporary filmmakers.However,the relevant research is not thorough and systematic enough.If future studies can be further and deeper than the previous ones,it will help to lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive interpretation of Gao Qunshu's works.
