Shi Pang(1670-1702?),was a Anhui literati in the early Qing dynasty.He was appreciated by You Tong,Zhang Chao and other famous person.His witings are Tian Wai Tan and Hui Cun Chu Ji and so on.This paper is divided into three chapters:the life,the thought,and the work.in the first chapter of the paper discussed on his family,life,and his social life.Firstly,his grandfather focused on studying Confucion,his grandmother was wrapped in Buddhism,and his father reasearched in Taoist,all these affects him.Secondly,the paper explain his birth and death's time,and pay attention to his social life.The paper divides his life into five peiod,including his talent was recognized in the countryside,he visited Tongcheng in the first time,he visited regions at the south of the Yangzte River in many times,he went back to his hometown and he died in Nanjing.lastly,the paper select four friends to reflect his intercourse.The second chapter elaborates Shi Pang's thought and works.From the records of Shi pang's existing books and relevant materials in the part of lost works,there is no doubt that his works was banned,and he was ignored.The influence of literary world in Qing Dynasty and the regional and family enviromnent,his thought was mixed in Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.Finally,he focused on Confucianism.The third chapter disscuss on Shi Pang's works.Shi Pang is a talented person,who is good at writing portey,words,rhymeand and so on.His poetry has a variety of forms.A form of pre-Tang poetry tend to imitate excellent works.Modern style poetry is to express his emotion.His ci and qu mainly writes love stories and they are popular.Also,he is expert in writing parallel fu and palindrome fu.Unfortunately,he died early and his work was banned,so he did not become famous.However,he should not be ignored.
