| Piano Performance Grading System(Non-Professional level)has started and developed over the past 30 years.The system has been proven to be one of the most effective way to evaluate the achievements/levels of piano players.Based on the extensive piano-teaching experience of the writer as well as the problems incurred,it will analyze the initial idea to establish the Piano Performance Grading System for non-professional players.Also,it will examine the current materials used for preparation of the Grading test and the development of the overall Grading System.This essay will take the examples of the most commonly used local materials,analyze the content,requirements and objectives within,and compare with the materials used for ABRSM system.Thus,it aims to help improve the piano playing levels of students,and their comprehensive knowledge of the field.Moreover,it hopes to help teachers and students on the materials selection and in-depth learning in the near future. |
