A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Korean Pro-japanese Introspection Stories After The Liberation(1945-1949)

This paper chooses Chinese and Korean pro-Japanese introspection stories from 1945 to 1949 as study object.It uses thematology of comparative literature and post-colonialism to tries to clarify the problems that the Chinese and Korean intellectuals how to build new identities after the liberation,to analyze colonists can how to overcome the double identities and reestablish the new identity,and to explore the relationship between the liquidation of traitors and the social reconstruction.The main content of this paper is divided into four parts.First of all,it collates the overall situation of the Chinese and Korean pro-Japanese introspection literature after the liberation based on different genres.Secondly,by comparing Su Qing's Ten Years After Divorce and Chae Mansik's The Criminal of the Nation,it clarifies the pro-Japanese writers how to take different strategies to try to explain themselves.Thirdly,by comparing Lv Heruo's Moonlight-Before the Liberation and Kim Tong'in's A Stdent Soldier's Notebook,it analyzes the two writers with a colonial experience how to present a process that the colonists overcome the double identities and reestablish the national consciousness.The fourth part tries to analyze the relationship between the social construction and the liquidation of pro-Japanese in the process of social reconstruction by comparing Wu Zhuoliu's Potsdam Directer and An Hoenam's The Storm of History.In a word,this paper tries to explore the process of reconstructing the individual and national identity by comparing Chinese and Korean pro-Japanese introspection stories.Through comparison,we can see that both Chinese and Korean intellectuals have realized the dual value of modern intellectuals that they have a great influence on the society and on the other hand they are ordinary people.It shows the personal value is under the national value and the intellectuals have to been on edge in the modernization of China and Korea.At any terms of reconstructing national consciousness,it shows the feature in the process of modernization in China and Korea,which is from the imitation of the other(Japan)to the imitation of themselves.Also in the process of social reconstruction both China and Korea have rediscovered or set the other inside of the nation.It shows that the relationship between the self and the other has been regularly considered as opposition or unity.
