Written by the black writer Ishmael Reed,The Reed Reader includes four parts,novel,prose,poetry,drama and the selected materials,God Made Alaska for the Indians,is from the part of prose.Reed,a famous contemporary American African postmodern writers,is one of the most brilliant and controversial post-modern writers.The Reed Reader reveals Reed's sharp writing style.In his works,he focuses on the marginalized African-American's life and thought,challenges western traditional white culture which occupies the core of the mainstream,and promotes the cultural pluralism.His works mocks "democratic" politics in the United States,the western cultural hegemony and internal infighting among AfricanAmerican.In the process of translation,there are a large number of cultural default words,stranger person names,as well as the black culture words in the material.It is difficult to grasp the overall context by Chinese readers,so that they can't be learned well the ideas conveyed by the original.In order to make the readers know a deeper understanding of the writer himself,as well as the thoughts the writer wanted to express and his literary features,which feel the literary production in their literary field.From the perspective of hermeneutics,in literary translation,more attention should pay to the historical and pluralistic understanding and translation of the translator from the perspective of cross-cultural perspective.This paper briefly introduces the development of interpretive translation and its application in translation,and puts forward the view of optimal interpretation in literary translation.Then,according to the characteristics of literary texts and the requirements of translation,the paper combines the interpretation of the text and the external interpretation to achieve the optimal interpretation of the material text.In optimal contextual interpretation,through the punctuation conversion,information supplement,and sentence transformation makes the translation have no translation trace like the original work.In optimal interpretation out-of-text,complement on annotations and foreword can make the original meaning more complete without disturbing the target language reader.This paper,from hermeneutics perspective to understand and interpretation literary translation,points out that the text understanding of diversity,based on the scholars point of view and the guidance of hermeneutics,puts forward the process of understanding and interpretation in translation to provide a new perspective to literary translation activity,and looks forward to benefit literary translation theory and practice exploration.
