The Fire Altar and Incense Burner are important contents in Zoroastrianism and Buddhist art,and their images become the important criterion for judging religious attributes. The image of the fire altars scene first appeared in the 6th century BC in the Achaemenide dynasty, and the image of the Buddhist incense burner first appeared in the art of Gandhara in northwest India. They have many similarities in both shape and image programs. After that, the fire altar and incense burner went along the silk road to China. In recent years, the discovery of the graves of the Sogdian people in C hina has proved that there is a lot of mutual absorption between them. This paper attempts to clarify the relationship between the image of the fire altar and the incense burner.
