A Study On The Planning Countermeasures Of The Hollow Village

With the acceleration of urbanization, single mode of production in rural cannot meet the needs of a new period of development of productive forces and rural development is facing many problems. Because of the young labor force and funds in rural influx of city, the hollow phenomenon of slow economic development, inadequating public facilities and social services appeared in the rural areas. The producing of hollow village is due to a combination of factors and we need analysis of the problems with development vision. So that we can obtain scientific conclusions and judgments to support reasonable and effective countermeasures and programs for the hollow villages remediation.On the basis of theory and domestic and foreign cases already, this article discusses the characteristics of hollow village from the population level, the spatial form level, the economic level and the public facilities level as well as manifestations. I think Hollow Village can be divided into early, middle and late three stages of development. Then it analyzes the causes of hollow village: the system of using land is imperfect, the farmers lacking of awareness of homestead, urbanization but incomplete, village planning and management in place, old houses having defects in structure and layout and lack of infrastructure. It summarizes the impact brought by hollow village: causing a serious waste of land resources and creating obstacles for rural economic development and living environment of harmony. Combining with relevant theory and the actual situation and the characteristics of hollow village, it proposes four kinds of hollow village renovation mode:village relocation merge mode, site remediation mode, the new site rebuilding mode and transition regulation mode. At last this article formulates treatment principles and strategies in line with the actual situation and emphasizes treatment methods in space layout, and then applies to regulation of Pang Village. I hope that these can provide valuable experience and learn from for building a new socialist countryside.
