The Research Of The South China Sea Issue In The United States And Asia Pacific Rebalancing Strategy

After President Obama took office in 2008, the United States actively returned to the Asia-Pacific region and promoted the Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy. In this new international situation, the South China Sea issue, as an important implementation of the Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy, became a hotspot between China and the United States, in the Asia-Pacific region and even in the world.In this paper, the South China Sea issue is studied in the environment and on the premise of the USA implementing its Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy. The aim is to make certain of the policy's deep influence on the South China Sea region and even our country. Then some countermeasures are put forward. At first, this paper briefly introduces the research significance of the topic, its research status in China, its research status abroad, research methods and procedures; discourses the great practical and theoretical significance, and points out the research methods and steps.Then it discusses the history and current situation of the South China Sea issue from a historical point of view, as well as reveals the nature of the country's performance behind the game. It focuses on the profound impact of the Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy on the South China Sea and the policy of the United States in the South China Sea. The last part is to give countermeasures for China, in the face of the Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy.The South China Sea issue is not only related to China's maritime and homeland security, but also related to China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Therefore, to deal with the South China Sea issue properly, for China and the entire Asia Pacific region and even the whole world, is of great significance.
