With the Chinese economic reform, China has entered into an miserable unprecedented period of social transformation. In the sociological point of view,Chinese society is developing during this period of social change, and "transforming" is advancing in this process.As a large agricultural country, farmers, rural areas, agriculture has always been the major social issues in the process, and they relate to strategic issues of economic and social development, as well as urbanization and modernization process, which are urgent to address.Currently, a increasing number of rural laborers move in cities, transforming from agriculture to non-agriculture. Rural laborers employment, occupational structure, range of occupations have undergone significant changes.In the context of transition and the construction of new towns, rural laborers farmer's career change mode is the primary problem in the urbanization process.Career development of peri-urban farmers in China at present there are still many obstacles. According to relevant studies on farmer's professional, they often from the perspective of a single discipline egoism and eager demand measures method to analyze farmers' professional differentiation and career transition, but ignored the humane care of farmers and rural.From deeper understanding of farmers career change, I think, in the sociological perspective, we should truly present the process of changing farmer occupational structure.Therefore, the present study focus on the changing farmer occupational structure in Dushu village Baqiao District, Xi'an, Shaanxi. From the planned economy to the market economy era, social change and cultural change theory for the study of the context of comprehensive sociology theory of social class, social mobility, as well as field survey of relevant statistical data and interviews with villagers materials, suburban villagers to analyze the change of profession.By the investigation of villagers who experienced the change of profession after being land acquisition, we find out that villagers basically able to adapt to changing career. The root reason of the villagers change of profession is that society, government farmers various factors.Meanwhile, the villagers change of profession effects society and the villagers themselves, which also makes the villagers occupational changes in a "recursive" way forward. Thus boosting the rural economic, cultural and villagers career development, showing the coexistence of personality and common mode change of villagers profession.Following this research direction, the overall of this paper consists of five sections:The first part is an introduction, describes why choose to research in the change of suburban profession villagers, as well as the relevant theoretical background of the study. the significance of the change of profession villagers have a general understanding.The second part bases on the fieldwork of Dushu villagers, using empirical study concluded occupational status of villagers.The third part discusses the main reason for the change of profession villagers.mainly analyzes about external environmental factors and personal factors to summarize what factors cause changes in career of the villagers.The fourth part analyzes the influence of villagers, to analyze main impact from both negative and positive effects.The fifth part is the conclusion and prospect, including the author has some of her own conclusions from the study, giving ideas and strategies of villagers career developing.The study concludes that the villagers career choice is a reasonable choice in the modern society.Firstly, in career choices, the factors causing the villagers career change are diverse, and the interaction between the various factors;Secondly, career transition and social transformation of history are inseparable. both mutual promotion and mutual influence;Finally, villagers who chosen different career paths has its own characteristics, such as the choice of the industry, gender, age and education etc. It exhibits their different characteristics.Overall, the villagers faced more obstacles in a change of profession. They need to be guided from government in their employment, while the villagers themselves should take the initiative to prepare for better career opportunities.
