With the rapid development of Internet technology, we have entered an era of Internet with massive information around. Taking advantage of such an environment, each of us is able to freely release news to any individual who is available to Internet. However, Internet is a double-edged sword. Although we have benefited from its convenience and efficiency, it also does harm to our rights at the same time. Especially in this era of we-media, when people use their phones to release news, infringement acts always occur regardless of the time and place. In this paper, the author has a discussion towards reputation infringement in we-media environment and tries to explore the methods of identifying reputation infringement in we-media environment by considering typical cases and their criteria standards as well as by analyzing its illegal acts, faults and bad consequences. In addition, the author also compares reputation infringement in we-media environment with traditional torts, expecting to make contribution to related academic fields by providing a better overview of reputation infringement in we-media environment...
