In recent years, with the development of housing marketization and the increasing urban property prices, more and more poor urban people can not afford the housing. in order to g uarantee the housing of the poor, the government releases the urban housing policy, a large number of indemnificatory housing has been constructed,housing conditions of the poor have s ignificantly been increased, but at the same time, the distinction in living space of community between indemnificatory housing other income community is obvious which surely exerts bad influences to the development of stability of the city to some extent.This study mainly applies the depth interview method with the standardized method of o bservation as complementary method and the case analysis of RenFuChen indemnificatory hou sing community,Daishan, Nanjing. Through interviews with the housing community residents, the essay explores situation and characteristics of residential segregation in tne indemnificatory housing community, in the the development of housing construction in the city, and analyzes the negative effect of residential segregation from the point of view of the housing residents themselves and the society. Finally, the study also analyzes the causes of the residential segr egation, in the research process, the in-depth communication with the community residents an d the community staff helps the author to study more objectively on the affordable housing r esidents, the research results show that the city's affordable housing construction requires full consideration of social segregation in urban low-income groups, only by giving full considerat ion to the problem in the policy implementation, cities of our country can ensure a harmonio us and stable development in the future.
