Study On The Problem Of Rural Disability Elderly Care

with the China's population aging and accelerated development of small family structure, the number of disabled elderly in rural areas increased dramatically, the group's long-term care becomes a prominent social issues.At the same time.Disability care of the elderly in rural areas face many challenges, because of the traditional family care is unsustainable; the demand of disabled elderly care is rising;and the lack of long-term care resources. It's very urgent to establish a care system. In order to fully understand the current situation of care for the disabled elderly in rural areas, the author made a survey during the 2015 summer vacation in Zhangpu County in Fujian Province.Through cases interview, the author analyzed the problems of rural disabled elderly care and the reason from the demand of care; the building of care team;the support from rural community and the development of social care service.In order to promote the quality of life of the disabled elderly, we should established a long-term care system in rural areas which can meet the long-time care by learning the successful experience from foreign countries; Hong Kong and Taiwan.
