A Comparative Study Of Borodin’s And Voitinsky’s Thoughts On The Chinese Revolution(1920-1927)

After the May 4th movement of China,intellectuals with preliminary communist ideas began to explore the Chinese revolution with Marxism as a guiding ideology and established close ties with the Comintern.The communist international became significant factors in the process of Chinese revolution.In 1920,it was the beginning of a revolutionary link between the Communist International and the Chinese revolution.Under China’s complex revolutionary reality,this connection is mainly manifested in the Communist International and the Soviet government(after 1922 called the Soviet Union)participating in a lot of activities,such as sending representatives to China,helping to set up the Chinese Communist Party and formulating theoretical strategies,directly involved in the establishment of the Revolutionary United Front of the KMT-CPC cooperation,in oder to achieve the help and guidance of the Chinese revolution.From 1920 to the failure of the National Revolution in 1927,Borodin and Voitinsky have stayed in China for the longest time.In the study of the related issues between the Communist International and the Chinese revolution,academia’s research on representatives of the Comintern in China is quite a few,and the number of studies about Borodin and Voitinsky is also considerable.But there’s no comparative study of the two.Therefore,on the basis of The Comintern and the Soviet Communist Party(Bolshevik)and Chinese revolutionary archives series of books and other literature materials,on the premise of learning and understanding of relevant research results,the article will carry on the comparative study of Borodin and Voitinsky’s views on the Chinese revolution.Hoping to contribute my humble effort to enrich and deep the Comintern and the Chinese revolutionary research from a particular perspective.This paper focuses on the comparative study of the two representatives of Borodin and Voitinsky.On the one hand,they were in China for a long time,experienced the Chinese Great Revolution,a special and significant historical period,had a lot of thoughts on the basic problems of the Chinese revolution;On the other hand,because of their special identities,their thoughts and actions have inseparable relations with the Communist International and the Soviet government.That’s worth to study seriously.The thesis take from 1920 to 1927 Borodin and Voitinsky’s theory and practice of Chinese revolution basic problems for research objects,analyze their viewpoints about the Leadership of the Chinese revolution the KMT-CPC cooperation、the United Front、Agrarian Revolution、Armed Struggle problem,and distinguish and sort out the similarities and differences.On the basis of my limited understanding and research level,the paper make as objective and impartial judgment and evaluation as possible.In the structure design,this paper arranged in turn according to the above-mentioned basic issues related to the Chinese revolution in general.The purpose and academic value of this comparative study is to deep the understanding of intimate relationship between the Communist International and the Chinese revolution and the comprehension of historical process about the Communist Party of China to grasp Chinese revolutionary laws.Meanwhile,we can examine the historical track of Marxism Sinicization from the one side,thereby deepen the understanding of the process of combining the basic principles of Marxism with Chinese specific reality.
