Chengdu is facing a serious problem about the elderly population,until December 31 in 2015,it is accounts for 14.26%of the total population of Chengdu that the people who is 65 years old and older.According to the relevant standards of the United Nations,Chengdu has entered the depth of aging stage already.With the increasing aging of the population,the changing of family structure and the weakening of the concept of "raising children and keeping up with the old",the function of the traditional family pension is weakening,and more and more elderly people tend to choose the institutions pension,because they think it is specialized and convenient.institutional pension is playing an important role in the pension service system.This paper analyzes the demand to choose old-age mode of the elderly in Chengdu from the aspects of economic status,health status and willingness.And at the same time,this paper analyzes the supply of the old-age institutions in Chengdu from the aspects of policy supply,The supply of hardware facilities,the situation of fees,the personnel and the content of the service,and so on.Through the comparison of supply and demand,the author summarizes the existing problems of institutional pension in Chengdu and analyzes the causes of the problems.Finally,through the reference of domestic and foreign experience and the combination of field research and literature review and so on,the author puts forward some suggestions on improving the institutional pension in Chengdu from the aspects of old-age policy,infrastructure,talent team,pension service system and supervision and evaluation system,with a view to solving practical problems.
