A Study On The Transformation And Adaptation Of Life Of The Women In Middle-aged Empty Nest Family

Children grow up and leave their home,their parents were left at home.Empty nest family refers to this kind of family.Middle-aged empty nest family refers to a family comes to empty nest stage when the parents are both at the middle age.The phenomenon of middle-aged empty nest family has became widespread,because of the implementation of the One-child policy.Empty nest stage is an important stage of a family.It is also a turning point,which marks a different life for each member of the family.In today's social environment,mother undertake the task of the care of children in the family,it is supposed to be a fixed rule.In general,mother invest a lot of time and energy for child,this phenomenon can be explained by the social gender theory.Mother' s life changes greatly because of the children' s leaving.The changes of her life and her adaptation to these changes is quite notable.The text uses the role theory to analyze the middle-aged women's life and their adaptation when empty nest stage bagin.The research will analyze their various roles in daily life,and pay special attention to the evolution of the mother' s role and mutual coordination between the various roles.This article consists of five parts.The first part is introduction,which describes the origin of the article,the significance of this study and the related research.The second part is the research design,it consists of the research methods,the brief description of investigation,the definition of some key concepts,the theoretical foundation of this research.The third part analyzes the life' s changes when empty nest stage begin,and the effects of these changes for middle-aged women,the first part is divided into the family form,the center of life and the mother's role,the influence mainly includes the vacancy,feelings of miss children,and the changes of relationship with husband.The fourth part discusses the adaption to the new life stage of these middle-aged women,including adjust view,increase their focus on self,adjust family relations(including the relations with huaband,with child,with relatives),adapt to changes of the external environment.The fifth part is epilogue,it summarizes the article,and lists the deficiencies of the article.
