The Study On European Refugee Crisis

The problem of refugee in the world has become an important problem that needs to be solved urgently in the international community and academia.The outbreak of the European refugee crisis from April 2015 has been going on for nearly two years now.Millions of refugees from the Middle East,North Africa,West Balkans and other regions were forced to leave their hometown,concentrated flock to Europe and they hit the fragile border of Europe.Frequent humanitarian disasters of the refugees made the crisis widely concerned around the world.Europe is experiencing the most serious refugee crisis since World War ?.The ruling capacity and moral conscience of the EU and its member states have been severely tested in this crisis.This paper analyzes the development process,refugee structure and multiple effects of the refugee crisis through the combination of literature research and comparative research.First of all,based on the perspective of crisis management theory combs the history and process of the refugee crisis development,the refugee crisis is divided into latency,outbreak period and duration.Secondly,from the perspective of population sociology,the refugee scale,refugee sex and age structure,refugee country and refugee religious structure are described.Thirdly,it summarizes the multiple effects of the short-term and long-term,positive and negative coexistence of the refugee crisis under the four dimensions of politics,economy,religion and culture and non-traditional security.The refugee problem is a long-term,complex,cross-border problem.How to effectively mitigate the impact of the crisis and solve the crisis from the root causes of the European society need to consider the primary issue.This paper focuses on the EU and its major member countries to solve the refugee crisis policies and mechanisms.On the one hand,the EU actively negotiated a number of policies and directives to try to carry out the joint action to resolve the crisis.On the other hand,from the roots of the digestion of the refugee crisis,the EU actively sought cooperation with the exporting countries and the transit countries of the refugees.However,due to the EU's own system of defects and operational mechanisms of the problem led to many EU-level policies and measures simply can not be implemented.Since the outbreak of the crisis,European countries carry out different refugee policy that based on their own position and interests.Germany is dominating the European refugee crisis,and Germany's refugee policy is from the opening to gradually tightening trend;The voice of Britain and France is little and this two major EU countries remain a negative attitude.The Visegrad Group led the new Europe to maintain a tough attitude to accept the refugees from beginning to end,which highlighting the differences between old and new Europe.Based on the above analysis,this paper argues that to solve the refugee crisis requires the EU and the member states to make greater efforts in the following four basic ways:Firstly,to improve the EU and member countries of the coordination mechanism;Secondly,to promote cooperation with refugees in transit countries;Thirdly,to concentrate on solving the root causes of the refugee crisis;Finally,to strengthen cooperation with the international community.
