Study Of The China-Laos Relationship Under The Belt And Road Initiative

The relationship between China and Laos has a long history,Laos has always been a friendly neighbor of China.Both China and Laos are socialist countries and the two countries are sharing the common idea and faith.Cooperation foundation and cooperation tradition between the two countries have been well built,the complementary of the economics were also made。Especially since China launched the Belt and Road Initiative,the development of bilateral relations in the new period has provided the new opportunity and platform for two countries.The Belt and Road Initiative will make a profound impact on Laos society,politics,economy and culture.The Belt and Road Initiative is an opportunity for Laos,at the same time,it is also full of challenges.For China,the Belt and Road Initiative is still in the initial stage.As the AIIB and the Silk Road Fund creation and preparation,the Belt and Road Initiative is shifting from a strategic vision and initiative stage to the practical stage.But a lot of things of the Belt and Road Initiative are needed to do.China so far still lack a basic understanding and doesn’t have a more comprehensive understanding of the countries’ political and economic systems,the pattern of domestic industries,nationality,culture,religion,customs along the line,this needs the domestic and foreign scholars research together on The Belt and Road Initiative “big system” of the characteristics of each “subsystem”.In this paper,taking the Belt and Road Initiative all the way along the important country Laos as a research focus,starting from the Belt and Road Initiative,Study on the China-Laos Relationship Under the Belt and Road InitiativeThis article is divided into three parts,the first part,the first part is focus on the Belt and Road Initiative,mainly from three aspects,namely from the background of the Belt and Road Initiative,significance of the Belt and Road Initiative and the strategic significance of the Belt and Road Initiative;The second part analyzed the basis and reliable power of the Implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in Laos.It also mentioned the importance of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Mechanism,Lancome Cooperation Mechanism and Trans-Asian Railway.The third part discuss the challenges and prospects of the Belt and Road Initiative of the China-Laos Relationship.The paper finally comes to a conclusion that The Belt and Road Initiative is in line with bilateral interests,but challenges are also existed.By analyzing these challenges,this paper is trying to explore the path to solve the problems between the China-Laos Relationship.
