Research On The System Of Testimony Of Criminal Witness In China

For a long time,China's judicial practice in the presence of witness in court has the low rate of appearance.The problem of witness testimony is also a major problem that seriously troubles our criminaltrial.This phenomenon is detrimental to finding cases,combating crime and achieving justice.This paper analyzes the importance of witness attending court in the process of criminal trial,analyzes the present situation of legislation and judicial in our country,and draws lessons from the outside world(including Common-Law System countries and Civil-Law System countries),on the basis of judicial practice of our country,puts forward some suggestions on how to protect the witness,the economic compensation of the witness,the exemption system of the witness and the forced appearance.
