Research On Application Of Quantitative Methods In The Public Policy Agenda

Quantitative and accurate analysis has become one of the developing direction of public policy agenda building in our country.The research of application about quantitative methods in the policy agenda building is very necessary,as the initial stage of policy analysis is policy agenda.However,because of various subjective and objective reasons,the application status of quantitative methods in public policy agenda is not satisfactory.At present,the application of quantitative methods in public policy agenda still exists plenty of problems.In this thesis,the sampling research was conducted on the academic theses about the public policy agenda which were published in CSSCI source journals in recent five years in our country.Additionally,descriptive statistics method have been used to deal with the survey data,which is in order to understand the status quo and an insufficiency that quantitative method used in public policy agenda.In-depth analysis into the characteristics behind the data and the correlations among them can summarize the causes of insufficient systematically.Thus,the corresponding feasible countermeasures for the existing problems can be put forward.The aim is to make up for the inadequacy of the domestic existing research and providing preliminary reference for the development and perfection of our country's public policy agenda building.Literature analysis and content analysis has been used in this thesis which has been divided into seven parts.Chapterl is an introduction which includes research background,research significance and research status,etc.Chapter2 is the definition of relative concepts about public policy agenda building.Chapter3 introduces the types and characteristics of quantitative method.Chapter4,5,6 consist the main part of this paper.Chapter4 explains the status quo and the insufficiency of the usage of quantitative method in public policy building through the method of literature analysis and empirical research,which further analysis has been taken place on the reason of insufficient application.Chapter5 is modeling research on the quantitative methods which have been used in public policy building.This part is aimed to explore the quantitative methods which are applicable to the public policy agenda building.Feasible policy and suggestions are put forward in Chapter6 by countermeasure research.Chapter7 is a conclusion which summarizes the contents above and puts forward the matters need attention,as well as,the direction and the target of the further research.The summary and modeling study about the application of quantitative methods in public policy agenda in this paper can be seen as the innovation.The modeling study aims to solve problem as follows.Firstly,is there any suitability between quantitative methods and the public policy agenda building?Secondly,is there any necessity of using these methods?Thirdly,how to use these quantitative methods?...
