A Case Study Of City Service WeChat Platform Construction In Chengdu

With the great achievements of China’s economic development,China’s urban construction is also developing rapidly,but many urban crisis such as traffic congestion,rapid population expansion,urban environment deteriorating,urban and rural dual contradictions and public safety threats continuously affects the government and the public.In particular,in the critical period of transition from traditional "management" to "service",the level and quality of public services that the government can provide is increasingly difficult to meet the increasing public demand for public services.The government’s traditional public management thinking mode and the original technology framework is difficult to solve these problems effectively.However,with the gradual opening of the social environment inclusive and the development of new information,some new ways to support public services providing such as "smart city","big data" are possible to solve the above problems in the direction of exploration.The construction of Chengdu urban service Wechat platfrom is an active exploration,which facilitates the combination between the "smart city" and the "Internet + public service" implementation.Sichuan Provincial government and Tencent reached a package of "strategic framework agreement" which includes the Chengdu municipal government,Sichuan institutions,state-owned enterprises,private enterprises.Making the construction of Chengdu "city service" WeChat platform as the most important part,so that Chengdu can become the first WeChat "smart city" in western China.The construction of "city service" WeChat platform can adapt and grasp the trend that Chinese government sets "Internet +" as a national strategy.It also can effectively enhance the government’s public service capacity as the core objectives and promote the innovation of e-government processes.The construction of "city service" WeChat platform is a positive innovation and exploration in the new technology,the new period and the new environment.This paper takes the construction of Chengdu "city service" WeChat platform as a case.Analyzing that in the "Internet +" national strategy background,the local government should grasp the trend and set enhancing service capacity as the goal,processing innovation as the starting point in order to improve the quality and level of public services.In this paper,the general trend of "city service" platform construction,construction goal and innovation of existing process are expounded and analyzed respectively.It is hoped that this paper will provide reference and guidance that will promote build a public service platform for the government to meet the development of the times and meet the public needs,improve the public experience of public service,promote the level of public service and improve the quality,and comprehensively promote the construction of smart city.In short,"Smart City" and "Internet +" are still a relatively new concept.That how the government combine organically the service function and those concepts and how to make it still needs continue to explore the complete solution in practice.
