Simply Analysing Huntington's Political Development Theory

The stable and efficient political environment is an important foundation for economic,cultural and social development and progress.During the Second World War,the emerging countries of the Third World have experienced political turmoil and instability in the course of national modernization.The speed of economic development beyond the scope of society which stage can bear.How to balance the relationship between development and stability?It seems to have become new problems that all emerging Third World have to face up to,and the same time,it is also for the famous political scientist,Samuel Phillips Huntington,to use his political development theory researching and answering the question.This article use the method of Political science and history mainly,it describe Huntington's political development theory and the background.First,this article discuss the formation of the ideological source about Huntington's political development theory,and explain the environment of the theory.Second,this article summarize the main point of Huntington's Political development theory,which focuses on the political system,political modernization,strong government and other important points of view.That build the entire framework of the structure.On this basis,this article give a fair evaluation on its rationality and limitations,and according to the reality of the problems in China's modernization,we use Huntington's relevant theories to give the reference and enlightenment to China's modern development.This article is divided into five parts mainly.The first chapter introduces the background,significance,research methods and the research status at home and abroad.The second chapter mainly deals with the social background and the origin of Huntington's political development theory.The third chapter is the key content of this article which account for the main content of Huntington's political development theory,strong government,political development goals and other specific content.The fourth chapter is an objective evaluation of Huntington's theory.The fifth chapter is some of the inspiration and practical significance of Huntington's political development theory to China.
