Research On Rousseau's Theory Of Equality

Equality has attracted much attention since ancient times.From the perspective of Rousseau's theory of equality,the author discusses a series of problems of equality which also gives some enlightenment to our common prosperity.Rousseau was a great French Enlightenment thinker,philosopher,writer,educator in the 18 th century in Europe.At the same time,he was also an important explorer for the origin and exploration of human equality.His equality idea was not only of great significance to the French Revolution,but also has great inspiration in our development social.In Rousseau's perspective,human beings are equal in the natural state.As the emergence of private ownership,inequality intensifies.Rousseau come up with the theory of social contract is to let everyone has the equal right in the social status,let everyone is willing to transfer their own powers to the collective to enter into a contract and to form the public will of all the people,and then to use the power of the law to protect and build social equality.The popular sovereignty is the reflection and applications of the general will.The sovereignty of the people shall be non transferable,indivisible,non representative and will always belong to the people.Now our country is in the period of social transformation,there are so many social inequality problems.After analyzing Rousseau's thought of equality,combined with some of the actual situation of contemporary,such as the house price is too high,education is inequality,the rules are broken by the rich,the rights of the poor can't be protect,the paper puts forward some suggestions: to prevent and solve the polarization of wealth,narrowing the gap between rich and poor,fighting against the corruption of power constraints,promoting equality of education,improving the social security system.Conducting the China developed into a common prosperity.
