For a long period Russia,China and India have been coordinating their positions and actions.Their trilateral cooperation is aimed at the maintenance of world peace, ensuring regional stability, multipolarity, democratization of international institutions and the addressing of non-traditional security problems. In the context of an emerging multipolar international system, the growing interaction among Russia,India and China deserves special attention. The three countries are part of two powerful blocs known as BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which they can use to change the international system.Despite the fact that the RIC grouping is not seen as an integrated whole, trilateral cooperation among RIC countries is of paramount importance for a multi-polar world, they share a goal and have the potential to alter the balance of power in the global decision-making process and bring to the end Western hegemony. This paper explores evolution of the RIC format, examines recent trends in bilateral Sino-Russian,Sino-Indian and Indo-Russian relations, analyzes basic factors influencing the formation of the trilateral;cooperation, and discusses political and economic implications of the Russia-India-China partnership. This study argues that RIC strategic triangle definitely has the capacity to contribute to the new international political and economic order with the help of such frameworks as BRICS and SCO.The paper seeks to analyze the concept of a triangular relationship among the Russia,India and China, and the degree of cohesiveness this grouping has displayed in the international arena for the last decade.
