3D printing technology is an advanced "Additive Manufacturing Technology",different from the traditional reduction material manufacturing technology. It makes "What You See Is What You Get" become a reality.Different market entities' behavior in the 3D printing industry chain may face different copyright infringement risks. The CAD file creators,3D printer manufacturers and sellers, internet service providers,3D printing shops and individual printers is likely to face different copyright infringement issues and the different judgment standards of the copyright infringement.CAD file creator may involve direct copyright infringement by scanning, but the file may be copyrighted by subsequent improvements;3D printer manufacturers and sellers may be responsible for indirect copyright infringement and product liability; The network service provider strictly applies the "notification and takedown" procedure, and due to provide different services may be liable for contributory infringement?induced infringement and vicarious infringement;Individual 3D printing behavior can not be simply as a fair use, because of its different printing purpose and the different influence of the market value of works and the copyright owner may assume the copyright infringement liability. The fair use system faces many challenges.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the fair use system of China and United States,we need an open fair use system to support the development of the advanced technology. The business strategy adopted by the market entity and the rights protection strategy adopted by the copyright owner are closely related to the copyright protection. To realize the benefits of copyright owners and public interests and promote the dissemination and utilization of the work,3D printing market entities can make full use of commercial operation strategy such as copyright licensing. Some printer manufacturers under the banner of protection copyright of system software sell print materials to consumers through price bundling which caused a fierce contradiction among the market entities. The US Library of Congress issued a temporary exemption to permit the circumvention of access controls on computer programs in 3D printers to enable the use of non-manufacturer-approved feedstock in the printers.
