With the development of social economy, our country has been increasing the investment in medical health system, contributing to the improvement of medical technology and service, socialization of medical treatment as well as an unprecedented level of medical care.Despite the great progress, medical industry still suffer from high risk that never seems to decline, with vicious medical disputes occurring one after another.Owing to the little trust from patients and serious doctor-patient conflicts, medical industry has been trapped in an extremely dangerous situation. What's worse, the medical disputes and doctor-patient conflicts have become social crises. Therefore,it has become a common challenge faced by many hospitals nowadays:how to deal with these disputes, promote better communication and mutual understanding between doctors and patients, and increase patients'trust in doctors?Although various solutions to these problems have been made everywhere, not a scientific and practical doctor-patient relationship managing system has been set up because of the continuous change of these conflicts. From the perspective of public crisis, this research tries to analyze the development of doctor-patient relationship, look into the characteristics of this relationship in a transition period and point out its defects, further putting forward strategies to solve problem of doctor-patient conflicts. The reason why Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang is taken as a sample to conduct the research mainly lies on the following three aspects. To begin with,as a third tier city with rapid economic and social development,Zhanjiang is a typical city of its kind.In addition,Central People's Hospital of ZhanJiang is known as a pubic Grade-A Tertiary Hospital in western Guangdong area. Therefore, the problems that it is faced with during the transition period are quite representative.Last but not least, the author has been working in this hospital for more than eight years, which enables him to have a good knowledge of this hospital.Taking Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang as an example will certainly help to search for information and collect data, contributing to the whole research.By referring to related documents, conducting surveys and organizing interview, the author had a thorough investigation into the management officers, medical workers and patients during the transition period, when doctor-patient conflicts stand out.In this 21-day investigation, from December 12th 2015 to January 2nd 2016,the author handed out 710 copies of questionnaire and collected 675 samples back,665 of which are effective with a recovery of 93.7%,so the survey is valid.Based on the organization and analysis of these samples, the author worked out the four major problems that exist between doctors and patients in Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang and put forward four strategies so as to solve these four problems existing in Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang from the perspective of public crisis. This essay consists of six chapters.Chapter One mainly explains the background and significance of this research,as well as the status quo, research methods and defects in creativity of this topic. The methods taken in this research include documentary research, experimental methodology and case study. One innovation of this research is that many cases were collected when conducting the survey.Chapter Two presents concepts and theories in this research. The former is concerned with public crisis and doctor-patient conflicts while the latter is about public management, asymmetric information, the third party mediation and public product.Chapter Three introduces the status quo of doctor-patient conflicts in Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang and makes an analysis of its causes from the perspective of public crisis. In Chapter Four, the author further looks into the investigation of present doctor-patient conflicts in Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang in terms of public crisis management, and classified it into five aspects:lacking the awareness of crisis when facing doctor-patient conflicts, being biased when dealing with conflicts and therefore worsening the situation, lacking the awareness of comprehensive conciliation and poor handling of the crises, failing to communicate with the media properly and being put into a passive position, and inappropriate settlement leading to the happening of crises again. To solve these problems,in Chapter Five, corresponding strategies are put forward from the perspective of public crisis, mainly including:updating information management system, enhancing prevention of crisis and setting up a managing mechanism with multi-parties involved, building up a comprehensive and integrated medical crisis managing system, responding to the media with timely announcement, and better handling the crises so as to avoid recurrence.
