Struggle And Hardship-Survival Status Survey Of Sewing Workers In Garment Factory

Migrant workers have gradually become a large and indispensable group in Chinese.The problems that migrant workers face in the process of migrating from the countryside to the city,such as employment,marriage,education,social security,family life,psychological identity,and urban integration have become the focus of academics and news media.Migrant workers are widely distributed in the manufacturing and construction industries in city,and the garment processing industry also has a large number of migrant workers,which are the sewing workers who rarely appear in the public.The majority of sewing workers live on the edge of the city and endure super-strength labor and low-level living conditions in order to maintain their livelihood.The development space of garment processing industry,which has been at the bottom of the industry chain for a long time,is gradually narrowing.And the garment processing industry is facing the pressure of transformation and upgrading,which bring many uncertainties for the future of workers in garment factories.This design selects a small garment processing factory in Yuhang District of Hangzhou as the research object.By observing the daily work and life of the sewing worker,the purpose is to record the efforts and persistence of the workers for survival and development,and to explore the reasons that make this group difficult to survive in the city..
