The battlefield is the main place of war fighting.Understanding of the environment directly influences the process and the result of the war.Although the military manoeuvres,mapping,the sand table and other traditional methods have played an important role in understanding and grasping the battle environment,but there are also some shortcoming,like time consuming and low precision.At the same time,due to the rapid development of digital battlefield,the amount of information on the battlefield is increasing exponentially,using the traditionazhacl method has been unable to meet the needs of high precision for the modern war environment.With the fast development of computer simulation technology and virtual reality technology,warring visual technology is more and more important in military activities,and it has become the most important support of the tactical exercise,strategic analysis.This paper focused on the scene construction and optimization problems of warring visual scene simulation,compared the visual simulation implementation techniques in four main military simulation platforms,and researched the key technologies using in the warring visual simulation,which based on the plane and spherical model of the earth.The main purpose of this paper is put forward a kind of 3D fighting visual scene simulation system that can be achieved in the military simulation platform.To achieve this goal,the mainly tasks are as follows:Firstly,this paper studied four major military simulation and compared them in level of detail technology of military equipment,rendering technology of battlefield terrain,generation of battlefield effects and so on.Through considering the main purpose of the simulation and the advantages and disadvantages of these platforms,this paper chose Unigine as a platform for simulation system.This has important significance to establish a realistic and real-time warring visual simulation system.Secondly,this paper discussed and designed the preprocessing of warring terrain data,dynamic loading of terrain block and construction of earth model in this paper.Otherwise,this paper proposed a method of terrain detail processing,a method of loading terrain data based on trigger and a method of realize earth model.Thirdly,in order to improve the facticity of the scene,this paper analyzed the methods of building natural encironment,designed and achieved the warring natural environment modeling methods,including the ocean,the time,the weather and the battlefield effects.At last,according to the analysis and design of warring visual technology,this paper developed a warring visual simulation system on Unigine platform.In performance testing,this system has more than 50 frames per second.The warring visual technology in this paper has advantages: short development period,good visual effect and so on.
