Research And Implementation Of Desktop Virtualization System And Its Application Based On XEN

As the development of information technology, the teaching forms are varied.Teaching with computer has been very widespread. However, some problems exist.On the hardware and funding side, the school needs buy new machines to ensure the smooth running of the software. On the management side, after a class the managers have to spend much time in restoring the system and installing the environment of the new class. On the teaching experience side, teachers and students have to copy their files after the class, but the working machine environment can't be copied. In order to solve these problems, this paper presents a solution that change the physical machines to virtual machines with the help of desktop virtualization.In this paper, in order to build a desktop virtualization system, which meets the requirement of school, the main task is:(1) learn the contents of desktop virtualization,the virtualization solution of XEN, the knowledge of remote desktop transport protocol and how to make the remote desktop into a web page.(2)Analyze the desktop virtualization system's functional and non-functional requirements. Based on the requirements, design and implement the system. These all use the standard software engineering method. Also, as the PC is no longer the unique device and users of smart phone and tablet PC are increasing in a fast speed, we use the B/S structure,not the C/S structure, so that users can use their virtual machine directly without installing any clients. The paper has the research value both in the theoretical and practical meaning.
