Normal education is an important part of education in our country, and it is obvious that the number of women occupies the vast majority of normal students. Therefore, the cultivation of female students is related with the development of normal education in China, but also related to the quality of education of our junior school and high school. Though the independent normal education of women had disappeared in the river of our history, the study and reflection of it will throw the certain enlightenment.This research clears up the process of female normal education in the modern times, on the base of collection, distinguish, integration and conclusion of the relevant materials, by means of literature research approach, historical study approach, comparative research approach and the case of study method. According to the development of time, this article explores the reason and influence that the change of the female normal education induced in the modern times, and summarizes the characteristics of the female normal education, setting out from the development and the evolution of it from the late Qing dynasty to the founding of the People republic of China. The article contains six parts.The first part is the whole introduction. Firstly it raises the research topic, which is the change of female normal education in the modern times. Secondly it defines the core and the relevant concepts. Thirdly it summarizes the existing researches situation to this domain. It expounds the research significance and methods in the last.The second part analyzes the historical reasons of the rise of female normal education of 1907 to 1919 in the first. And then it presents the evolution of the female normal education which embodies in the education aim, the setting of curriculum and so on.The third part concludes the development of the female normal education of 1919 to 1927 in accordance with the development order of time, which highlights the rise of the female higher normal education, the emergence and development of coeducation and the effect of the Renxu educational system to the female normal education.The forth part outlines the evolution of the female normal education of 1927 to 1949, which involves the influence of the reestablished of the independent normal education system and the political changes to it.The fifth part put focus on the characteristics of the female normal education on the base of an overall grasp to the concepts mentioned above.The sixth part concludes the effect of the female normal education induced, and combines with the cultivation of the female normal students in order to put forward some views and advices.
