ObjectiveTo understand the Nursing undergraduates present situation of career decision-making difficulties in Henan province, to explore the influencing factors of career decision-making difficulties of nursing undergraduates and the relationship between social support and career decision-making difficulties, the relationship between coping styles and career decision-making in Henan province. For colleges and universities better able to provide a theoretical basis to guide nursing undergraduates to make the right career decision making, at the same time, it can help nursing undergraduate students to understand some own variables and to reduce the career decision-making difficulties by changing these factors. MethodsSelect 402 nursing students in grade three and grade four from three colleges and universities in Henan province by the method of cluster sampling. The using questionnaires include General information questionnaire, Career decision-making difficulties questionnaire, Simple coping style questionnaire and Perceived social support scale. Input the data using the software EpiData 3.1 and using SPSS 17.0 software for data analysis. To compare between the two groups using independent sample t test, use one-way ANOVA to compare between multiple sets; Correlation analysis using bivariate correlation analysis, about the multi- factor analysis can use multiple linear regression analysis. Results1. Career decision-making difficult situation of College Nursing Students in Henan ProvinceTotal professional decision-making difficulties of nursing undergraduates in Henan an average score(2.89±0.63). On lack of preparation dimension score(2.84±0.65), Lack of information on the dimensions of the score(2.89±0.86), Inconsistent information on the dimensions of the score(2.92±0.62). In terms of lack of preparation, the highest score is Indecision(3.13±0.87);In terms of lack of information, Lack of knowledge of the decision-making process(2.93±0.98) have higher score; about Inconsistent information, External conflicts(3.01±0.93) get the highest score. Scores of indecision and external conflicts overall score was significantly higher than that of career decision-making difficulties.2. The Single Factor Analysis of Influence Factors of career decision-making difficulties for the nursing undergraduates in Henan ProvinceDifferent grades, Whether to participate in the internship, If he had attended job fairs, whether there is a clear intention,different age,different views on the employment situation,different plans after graduation and different career goals. The seven factors respectively in career decision-making difficult score difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The student of junior grades, senior grade score in career decision-making difficulty is(3.08±0.59),(2.69±0.60); whether there is a clear intention to work scored respectively(2.78±0.64),(3.14±0.50). Whether to participate in recruitment, respectively, scored(2.81±0.66),(2.98±0.56); Whether to participate in internships, respectively, scored(2.74±0.62),(3.07±0.59). The P value of less than 0.01, the difference was statistically significant.3. the correlation analysis between Career decision-making difficult and social support, the correlation analysis between Career decision-making difficult and coping style.Results of correlation analysis of coping style and career decision-making difficulties, coefficient of correlation r=0.216, P=0.000, there is positive correlation. Results of correlation analysis of difficulties of coping with career decisions, coefficient of correlation r=-0.022, P=0.675, there is no correlation. Results of correlation analysis of negative coping and career decision-making difficulties, coefficient of correlation r=0.384, P=0.000, there is a positive correlation between them.Results of correlation analysis of social support and career decision-making difficulties, coefficient of correlation r=-0.015, P=0.776, so there is no correlation. The correlation coefficient which respectively between career decision-making difficulties and Support from Families, friends support, other support are- 0.023,- 0.007 and- 0.010.,P value is greater than 0.05 and there is no significant difference.4. The multiple stepwise regression analysis on Influence Factors of career decision-making difficulties about the nursing undergraduates in Henan Province.With career decision-making difficulties as the dependent variable, and age, grade, whether to participate in the internship, whether to participate in job fairs, whether there is a clear intention to work, negative coping, views on the employment situation, after graduation plans, different career goals as the independent variable, setting up dummy variable relative to after graduating from different plans and career goals,to make multivariate stepwise regression analysis, The final factors included in the regression equation contain grade,age,whether the job intentions are clear, different career goals, as well as negative response,R2 =0.290. Conclusions1. The Score of Career decision-making difficulty of nursing undergraduates in Henan Province is in the middle, it shows that there is a degree of decision-making difficulties when faced with career decisions. It is outstanding in terms of lack of preparation and inconsistent information, indecision and external conflicts. And in terms of lack of information,there is a serious problem in lack of knowledge of the decision-making process.2.Main factors affecting the career decision-making difficulties of College Nursing Students in Henan Province include grade, age, whether to participate in the internship, whether to attend job fairs,whether there is a clear intention to work, views on the employment situation, plans after graduation and Career goals. After further analysis, discover that the main influence factors of career decision-making difficulties contain grade, age, whether there is a clear intention to work and different career goals.3.The relationship between coping style and career decision-making difficulty is positive and there is a positive correlation between negative response to the difficult with career decision-making difficulties.It means that Career decision-making difficult is rising with the negative response score the higher. But there is no correlation between positive coping with career decision-making difficulties. There is no correlation between Various dimensions of social support and career decision-making difficulty. Between social support and career decision-making difficulties there is no correlation, too.
