This study based on the long-term development of tennis sport in common colleges and universities in gansu province, USES the literature material method, interview method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, for college students in common colleges and universities in gansu province on the degree of cognition, motivation, love tennis, tennis knowledge acquisition way, consumption level and in colleges and universities to carry out the sport's basic condition to carry on the investigation and study, the purpose to find out in the ordinary colleges and universities in gansu province and in the process of the development of tennis sport involves a series of "hidden trouble", and dig in gansu province ordinary university tennis movement's development strategy.To make a further improvement on the existing problems, in order to better promote the popularization of tennis sport in ordinary colleges and universities in gansu province and improve,at the same time contribute to the development of tennis sport in gansu province. Conclusion: 1.The general lack of ordinary colleges and universities in gansu province tennis venue facilities and devices equipped with; 2. Gansu province ordinary university students participate in tennis enthusiasm high, the influence of venue and tuition, opening rate is on the contrary, the satisfaction of tennis teaching is not high; 3. The tennis match in universities and colleges in gansu province ordinary university campus is less, not good to mobilize students' enthusiasm to participate in tennis, also go against the rise of the technical level of the college tennis sports; 4.Gansu province ordinary university student sports elective course of tennis elective rate is higher,the number is more, due to delay in each college tennis teaching staff construction, teachers' teaching method is relatively single. Lead to the existing teachers cannot satisfy the requirement of the students in learning; 5.
