Research Of Influence And Countermeasure Of The Internet On College Students’ Legal Literacy

With the general aim of construction of socialist country ruled by law, the fourth session of the 18th National People’s Congress puts forward comprehensive enhancement of the rule of law, which emphasizes the improvement of civil legal concept among all people. And also, rule by law is underlined as a critical part for building well-off society in an all-round way. As the hard core of socialist modernization, college students whose legal literacy determines the process of socialist legal construction, are very important group for legal education.The cultivation of legal literacy for college students is affected and developed by both external environment and their internal factors. The rise of internet changes not only the external environment, but also the internal factors for college students legal literacy.The apply of internet broaches opportunities and challenges at the same time for that. Therefore, many issues, such as how to understand internet influence on legal cultivation for college students, the positive motivation of internet, the avoidance of negative impact on the issue of legal accomplishment by internet, are worthy to discuss in theological field.This paper adopts questionnaire survey and individual interview which are conducted in Dalian University of Technology. Through the above survey, the positive influence of internet on legal cultivation of college students is shown as follows:internet provides more channels to obtain law knowledge for them; internet brings more awareness of legal rights; internet enhance the their legal concept; internet improves their legal capacity. However, there are also negative impact brought by internet as follows:the lack of cyber law flaws; the internet reduces legal consciousness of college students; internet wakens law-abiding consciousness. Given the above, this paper introduces four aspects to analyze the negative internet impacts on legal cultivation of college students, as below:the current situation of law legislation, the education of cyber law for students, internet environment and college student themselves. In the last part, this paper, depending on the relative theories, proposes the systematic methods to boost the legal literacy of college students under the circumstances of internet, namely tightening the connection and communication among students, society and schools.
