Comparing with declining development of Secretarial Major in higher vocational college in recent years,the talent market is eager for high quality secretaries.The data from college show conflict between high employment rate of graduates majored in Secretary and low enrollment of fresh students.The reason lies in inequality between students cultivation and talent market requirement.The practice teaching in higher vocational education has always been the central link and important means to cultivate skilled talents.With the purpose of helping graduates majored in Secretary meet the market requirement,author of the thesis manage to find out problems existing in practice teaching in Secretarial Major and then a way to solve the problems after investigating practice teaching of Secretarial Major in some colleges in several provinces through questionaire survey and interview.This paper consists of 4 parts.Part I introduces present development of Secretarial Major in higher vocational colleges and imbalanced development of this major among different areas,telling positive meaning in healthy development of the major through research towards practice teaching of Secretarial Major.Part II shows questionaire of practice teaching in Secretarial Major in higher vocational colleges in Hunan,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Guangdong.The statistical data state overall knowledge to practice teaching of Secretarial Major,content and form of practice teaching,conditions of practice teaching and current situation of evaluation of practice teaching.Part III reveals the following problems in practice teaching in Secretarial Major of higher vocational college through the above investigation.The problems are inadequate recognition to importance of practice teaching,no reformation in course content(such as more module training than comprehensive training,more simulation training than real work),inflexible teaching arrangement,limited training space and equipment,failed implement in developing double-prfessionally-titled teachers from teachers in college and formative assessment to students’ practice in and out of college.Part IV raises solution to the above problems as following,establishing concept of “person first,serve the society”,developing practice curriculum of multi-module to design courses featured with integrated training,multi-financing to ensure practice teaching conditions such as setting up mode of building practice base under mutual effort and condominium of college and enterprises,cultivating double-professioanlly-titled teaching team qualified both at teachers’ desk and post,forming evaluation and assessment mechanism to practice teaching under cooperation between college and enterprises.
