The elaboration theory puts forward the teaching principles from general to specific and the different instructional design strategies for concepts,propositions and tasks.Its emphasis on the integrity and classification of teaching,especially solving the current high school mathematics teaching problems that teachers ignore classification of the teaching and does not pay attention to the knowledge structures.This research focuses on the application of elaboration theory in high school mathematics teaching,discussing the high school mathematics instructional design processes,instructional design strategies, teaching processes and teaching strategies.It provides design and implement of the three teaching cases based on the elaboration theory,aiming of providing leading and demonstration to high school mathematics teaching, strengthening the teaching pertinence.The research method of this paper is literature research method,survey research method,case study method,classroom observation and action research method.First,through combing and summarizing the literature,the current research situation,research ideas and research questions were understood and clarified. During the education internship,based on the survey research and classroom observation, the situation of the high school mathematics teachers' daily instructional design and teaching were understood. In the practical research stage, by collecting data and analyzing cases, the instructional design processes,instructional design strategies, teaching processes and teaching strategies were determined,and concepts,propositions and tasks types respectively were chose for teaching design and implemented in the actual teaching.Last,analyzed the practice research results by tests and interview for students.The main conclusions of this study are listed below.First.instructional design processes based on the elaboration theory include five aspects:teaching content organization, students analysis, targets analysis, evaluation analysis and design activities;Second,five kinds of mathematics instructional design strategies based on the elaboration theory:epitome of design strategies, elaborating grade design strategies, sequencing strategies, cognitive strategies, integrated strategies;Third,teaching processes include four parts:presenting an epitome, teaching a new lesson, application and summary;Fourth, according to the teaching processes, put forward the corresponding teaching strategies and teaching methods.To epitome link, the main teaching strategies are presenting the content epitome and advance organizer,contacting with students need to the teaching goal and students activities.To teaching a new lesson link,the main teaching strategies are presenting new knowledge,prompting,promoting the students information processing, integrating new knowledge.To application link,the main teaching strategies are presenting excises and its variant,feedback,organization.To summery link,the main teaching strategies are integration and organization.
